Baby wearing can be a lifesaver when you have little ones, but finding a plus size baby carrier option can be tricky. Here are 5 of the Best Plus Size Baby Carriers.
Finding a great baby carrier and learning how to baby wear can be so freeing and wonderful in the first years of parenthood, and especially during those very challenging first couple of months.
When I figured out a carrier that worked well for me, especially in the early days of becoming a new mom, I felt like I unlocked a new level of freedom by having my hands free.
Baby-wearing has many scientifically proven benefits to both baby and caregiver (more on that HERE) But like a lot of other photos and portrayals of pregnancy in media and online, there are not as many plus size parents represented in baby-wearing. I'm here to remind you that the benefits of baby-wearing can be for plus size parents and I'm going to give you some great options for plus size friendly baby carriers.
This post is all about the best Plus Size Baby Carriers.
1. Structured Carrier - Lille Baby
Both my husband and I loved our Lille Baby breathable carrier and used it SO much for both of our kids. I even got to pass it along to a friend I met through Instagram and now I get to see pictures of her baby enjoying rides in the same carrier. It is truly a baby item that will never go out of style or function and we got SO much use out of this carrier it was worth its weight in gold!
Sizing - I was probably around a size 1/2X when I was wearing this on the very longest waist band setting, so please carefully read the measurements and ensure that you are looking at the right sizing. It does now come in sizes up to accommodate a 3X body according to the website and there would be ways to add an extender I am sure.

2. Stretchy Wrap - Solly Baby
Oh Solly Baby Wrap, how I love you so. I could write a whole song devoted to the soft, stretchy fabric. I never thought in a million years I would be able to figure out how to wrap one of those super cute stretchy fabric carriers but I DID and it was AMAZING! I actually loved the Solly Baby wrap especially in the early newborn days and learning how to tie it up was really not that hard after watching a youtube video on repeat a few times. I loved leaving the wrap tied under my coats when I went to a store and then I could just quickly pop baby into my carrier for a snug trip out and about.
What I would give to have my baby wrapped up in one of these one last time.....sigh.

3. Ring Sling - Hope & Plum or Wildbird
Ring Slings might arguably be the the most beautiful baby carriers and I love the way babies seem to snuggle right in to their loved ones when they are riding along in the ring sling. I will admit that I didn't use the ring sling with my babies as much as I would have hoped but if I were to do it all over again I would 100% lean on the ring sling wayyyy more often and ask a professional for help making sure I have it on correctly.
Hope & Plum and Wildbird both make such beautiful Ring Slings and I love that they are openly committed to inclusive sizing for all parents on their website.

4. Fan Favorite - Tula Carrier
Ok I personally never tried the Tula because I loved my Lille Baby so much but I've always heard such great things about the Tula carrier. I know moms who are devoted Tula lovers and appreciate the versitility and I believe they grow with your child and work as a fantastic toddler carrier as well! This is the Tula "Free-to-Grow" Carrier which has a waist band that extends to 57inches.
I love all of the super cute prints and fabrics that Tula has - and the size range is really great too!

5. Baby Bjorn - Let me know about Plus Sizing!
I have also heard great things about the Baby Bjorn carriers (I LOVE their bouncer!!! A MUST HAVE!) and I'm assuming that their carriers are also wonderfun. The only thing is that I couldn't confirm sizing and none of the specs listed on the website included a wasit band measurement, which was a little bit disippointing. If you have one of the Baby Bjorn Carriers and if you are Plus Size, please send me a message so that I can get some real time info on if this is a good option! I'm including it in the round-up just in case.
